I love Robert. He was the best cousin to grow up with, even though we were younger. Showed us the war at sea with his mini ships. Knighted us below the portico of the Coal Board on Taff Embankment. Such corn flake box helmets!
Patient with Stephen and I as we pestered him and Helen when they were courting.
In later years some great adventures (not enough). Driving along Hood Canal as the sun set over the Olympic Mountains. Standing on the beach looking at the Pacific Ocean Robert told of the Spanish ships that plied those waters.
All with a great sense of humor. Always with affection for his Yates Cousins and our families. Thanks Robert.

Rob was a wonderful man and, when I was a child, he always took time to engage and demonstrate the value of learning! Sorely missed.
